  • The Introduction of a Fungi-Incubation Experiment Extension Course for Elementary School Students and Junior High School Students
    TOGASHI Iwao, KOBAYASHI Wataru, SUGIMOTO Keisuke, NUMATA Yukari, 旭川工業高等専門学校研究報文, 44,   2007 03 05 , Nineteen students participated in a fungi-incubation experiment extension course was held at the campus of Asahikawa National College of Technology on January 10, 2006. The students are from 4th to 8th graders. They tried preparing culture medium for fungi, and tried inoculating some kinds of edible mushrooms' tissue and one kind of mold's spore at the campus. The students brought the culture back to their homes and incubated it. We obtained information regarding their impressions after taking part in the course by means of questionnaires. It was apparent that they had been greatly interested in edible mushrooms.
